The City of Santa Fe is committed to providing fun, COVID-19 safe, accessible, educational and entertaining summer and after-school programs.
Through the establishment of a strong five-year partnership with the Santa Fe Community Foundation’s Opportunity Santa Fe, led by Julie Sanchez, Director of Youth and Family Services, The city will now be able to solve the problems of summer learning loss, success in mathematics, literacy rate and the establish an academically rich and affordable programs.
Merging the summer youth and after-school program of the Youth and Family Services Department with the recreation department will not only improve the efficiency and uniformity of the entire program, but also provide high-quality recreational opportunities for all youth through the Genoveva Chavez Community Center and the South Side Youth Center in the near future to the whole city
